First thing's first: it's really hard to type on a laptop with long nails. (goes and gets the shears).....that's better. ^w^

What was my topic again? oh yes...I TOTALLY GOT THE JOB AT JCPENNEY'S!!!!! YAYS ME!! i'm so excited!!!! i go in for training tomorrow night. have no idea what my schedule will be but i'm not really complaining. :)

If you've not heard of it, Solomon's Castle is a living art piece! Made of recycled/reused materials, this castle home/art museum is amazing! they even have a resturaunt on a pirate ship, called The Boat in the Moat! All the artwork is made by Solomon, castle included. my dad went, and being a man who enjoys making things from junk, was like a kid in a candystore! i, myself, being artsy-fartsy in nature, also had a blast! on the grounds are included such buildings as: the chocolate house, which is simply chocolate in color and owned by one of Solomon's grown children; a Florida replication of The Alamo in Texas, aptly named The Shalamo (i actually don't understand the meaning behind that one. =_=); a gift shop or two; a lighthouse, whose beacon is a disco ball; a nature trail; and the castle itself, which harbors an elevator, millions of meaningful handmade stained glass windows, a dungeon (complete with evil looking babysitter to corral the grandkids), a menagerie of various artsy critters, a train and gun expo, and many replicated artworks. Solomon's castle was an awesome fieldtrip for the homeschool community! you can check out more about said castle here: http://solomonscastle.org/

You're probably wondering what that "Vampire Eye" bit is about. well, i got sick over the past weekend, which led to a violent upchucking that ended in a burst blood vessel in my right eye. ugh. =___* anyway, i didn't notice how bad it was at first, until it grew. it nearly covers the white bit off one side of my pupil. one of my sisters saw it, freaked out, and said, "Eewwww!!! Don't look at me with your vampire eye!" LOL! in her defense it does look rather nausiating....i guess? my brother thought it looked more like a zombie eye. either way i'm taking brains and blood!! grr...aargh. ROFL! on the plus side it makes my hazel eyes look more green, as red usually does. ^w^ doesn't really hurt. just looks like i've been punched in the eye by my non-existant boyfriend. i like to tell people my nephew, who will be 4 this weekend, did it. he may be miniscule but he punches really really hard! XD

okay, that's all fo now i suppose. least ways i have nothing more to tell.

that's quite the into, ne? LOL! let me break this all down for you as fast as i can because dinner is on the table. it's spaghetti....it calls to me.

so i might have the opportunity to work at JCPenney's. i have an interview this tuesday. PRAY GOOD PRAYERS that i may get hired!!! please. ^w^ (that was the quick gist of it)

MD Oriental is in tampa, not as far away as the oriental market in orlando. good that. anyway, yay to having access to my fave snacks and drinks and buns!! happiness!

Wire Grass mall was fun. got a bit of a burn at Moe's cuz they wouldn't let us open the umbrella's on the patio. apparently, when it's the perfect combination of breeze and sun, they won't allow them to be opened because somehow the wind blew one thru a window. dangit. saw my sister there too! this may sound weird and unexciting to you guys, but she gave me a hug!!! i was ecstatic! it doesn't happen too often. she's not the huggy type....which is a bummer for me since i am a huggy person.

ok, that's it. dinner is wafting into my nose and calling to me....as well as the family whom are already at the table. =___= hee hee.

over and out.

Do you believe in any superstitions?

View 551 Answers

don't think i do, but i know most people practice one superstition that has become a part of etiquette: saying "God Bless You" after someone sneezes!! originally the saying got its start when some folks(Puritans?) thought that a person's soul left their body for a moment(the sneeze) and if they didn't say God Bless You, then that person's soul would be susceptible to demonic attack or even possession. {correct me if i've learned wrong}

it's been some time since i last posted. i'll update you on the mundane life that i lead later. right now...(steps onto well-worn soapbox)...it's time for some venting that the rest of you hard working humans can relate to!
most of us out there have some form of phone service: Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and other random affiliates. i have Verizon. it sucks. a lot. a LOT a lot. i'm not really afraid to go into specifics here so get this: i pay $125.oo (round-about) every month for unlimited texting(which i use frequently), unlimited minutes(never passing 300 on a regular basis), and moderate data that is so archaic in its usefulness that i equate it to how we first accessed the internet via our cell phones...only with prettier graphics. if what i bought was supposed to be a "smart-phone", what i actually own is has the intelligence level of a rock. one grown over with moss. needless to say, my phone/plan is crap. now, like most folks these days, i have my own sob story about a lack of funds and limited job offerings along with too many bills to pay. that said, i have these VZW people after me CONSTANTLY! as in calling me up to 5 times a day, 4 days a week. =___= aggravation. when they realized that i was ignoring a certain number connected to one of their automated "customer service representative", they started coming after me under another number and a real human being! surprise surprise. if i had a dollar for every person who assumed i could make money out of pocket lint....i'd actually be able to pay my bills. T^T blah blah blah, boo-hoo-hoo, right? well this is my soapbox so i'll do what i want. hah. where was i? >__>
oh yes...
oh nope. thought i had it. oh well. needless to say, i want out of my contract. i want to pay less and get more than i have now. perhaps i ask too much?
