First thing's first: it's really hard to type on a laptop with long nails. (goes and gets the shears).....that's better. ^w^
What was my topic again? oh yes...I TOTALLY GOT THE JOB AT JCPENNEY'S!!!!! YAYS ME!! i'm so excited!!!! i go in for training tomorrow night. have no idea what my schedule will be but i'm not really complaining. :)
If you've not heard of it, Solomon's Castle is a living art piece! Made of recycled/reused materials, this castle home/art museum is amazing! they even have a resturaunt on a pirate ship, called The Boat in the Moat! All the artwork is made by Solomon, castle included. my dad went, and being a man who enjoys making things from junk, was like a kid in a candystore! i, myself, being artsy-fartsy in nature, also had a blast! on the grounds are included such buildings as: the chocolate house, which is simply chocolate in color and owned by one of Solomon's grown children; a Florida replication of The Alamo in Texas, aptly named The Shalamo (i actually don't understand the meaning behind that one. =_=); a gift shop or two; a lighthouse, whose beacon is a disco ball; a nature trail; and the castle itself, which harbors an elevator, millions of meaningful handmade stained glass windows, a dungeon (complete with evil looking babysitter to corral the grandkids), a menagerie of various artsy critters, a train and gun expo, and many replicated artworks. Solomon's castle was an awesome fieldtrip for the homeschool community! you can check out more about said castle here: http://solomonscastle.org/
You're probably wondering what that "Vampire Eye" bit is about. well, i got sick over the past weekend, which led to a violent upchucking that ended in a burst blood vessel in my right eye. ugh. =___* anyway, i didn't notice how bad it was at first, until it grew. it nearly covers the white bit off one side of my pupil. one of my sisters saw it, freaked out, and said, "Eewwww!!! Don't look at me with your vampire eye!" LOL! in her defense it does look rather nausiating....i guess? my brother thought it looked more like a zombie eye. either way i'm taking brains and blood!! grr...aargh. ROFL! on the plus side it makes my hazel eyes look more green, as red usually does. ^w^ doesn't really hurt. just looks like i've been punched in the eye by my non-existant boyfriend. i like to tell people my nephew, who will be 4 this weekend, did it. he may be miniscule but he punches really really hard! XD
okay, that's all fo now i suppose. least ways i have nothing more to tell.
